What does your Tutoring program offer?

We create a custom learning plan to address each student’s specific needs.

Each student learns is a different way. Motivation is very important, and we try to adjust our teaching methods to their necessities. We follow the Florida educational standards and encourage our students to improve their grades.

The studying process must shift to efficiency and priority over quantity. This is why we help students develop study habits, so they can feel secure, believe in themself, and overcome their fears. As a result, students improve schoolwork and test scores significantly. Confidence is the first secret to success.

What makes Think Wise Tutoring  effective?

We start with an academic analysis to pinpoint your child’s exact academic strengths and needs. As a result, we enforce our custom learning plan to address each student’s specific needs. We create confidence in our students once they start improving their grades.

The results our students achieve, is our best advertisment!

What is academic analysis?

We sit down with each of our student, and evaluate their educational standard, based on the learning goals for what students should know and are able to do, at each grade level.  This way, we identify their particular strengths, then highlight the exact area(s) which our expert tutors will help strengthen for greater success. With parents’ permission, we communicate with the child’s classroom teachers, we keep in touch with parents as well; so we all focus in each child’s needs and work as a team to give them the support they need in the subjects they are struggling with to achieve success in the school and beyond.

How do I know my child is making a progress?

The best is to look at their gradebook; it will talk by itself. The improvement of your child will be noticed!

How qualified are the tutors of think wise tutoring?

Our tutors are trained and are academically prepared to assist your child’s need. We follow the Florida standards of education. We use the same books, and same computers programs as public schools.

How many sessions per week does my child need?

We recommend 2 to 3 hours per week if your child attends the one on one tutoring program. If your child is attending the weekly group tutoring, we recommend to start as soon as possible, and not to wait until a few weeks before final tests. The more your child comes, the higher the academic performance. Achieving faster and better results depend on the constancy and persistence of each student who attends.

If your child attend the group tutoring program, we will seat him or her with other kids who are in the same grade.

Is the Tutoring center open during Holidays or teacher planning days?

No, we are closed during Holidays and teacher planning days, but we do open during Summer time for the Summer Tutoring Sessions.

Do I need to bring snacks for my child?

We have more than 15 years of experience working with children, assisting them with their homework, teaching them new subjects, and helping them to reach their highest goals.

What is the SAT / ACT?

  • Both are standardized college admissions tests in the US.
  • The SAT is a standardized test meant to show schools how prepared you are for college by measuring key skills like reading comprehension, math ability, and clarity of expression.
  • The ACT is a standardized test that measures a student’s skills in five core areas: English, math, reading, science, and writing (optional).

What is the difference between the ACT and the SAT?

  • The SAT contains three sections: Reading, Math, and Writing and Language.
  • The ACT contains four sections: Reading, Math, English, and Science.
  • Both also have an optional essay. Each section has a different format.

What is a Good Score?

  • SAT scores range between 600 and 2400, which is the sum of reading, math, and writing scores between 200 and 800. The average SAT score hovers around 1500. To get into a top-tier school you’ll probably need a score above 2000, but for the local branch of the state university you might be just fine with a 1400.
  • ACT scores range from a low of 1 to a max score of 36. Overall, ACT test scores are the average of test-takers’ sectional scores (also 1-36) in English, Math, Reading, and Science. The average ACT score is 20.8.
